GRANT MAKING GUIDELINES

Criteria for Application Review

To be considered for funding an organization must be designated as tax-exempt under Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue code. Bay Health Foundation will accept proposals only for programs to be conducted within the Bay County area.

Bay Health Foundation is most interested in:

• Programs that provide direct health services and benefit a large number of persons
• Programs that increase access to care for underserved and vulnerable populations
• Measurably improve aspect(s) of community health in Bay County.
• Health education programs that combine with screenings, referrals to care and follow-up to ensure treatment and track compliance
• Positively reflect and project the mission of Bay Health Foundation

Bay Health Foundation will not make grants to support:

• Individuals
• Programs not related to health
• Political activity of lobbying
• Biomedical research
• Research on drug therapies and devices
• Organizations outside of Bay County
